Katie and Mohammed’s house was a fun challenge to shoot in, due to the quite small rooms and the hard angle of the natural light through the bedroom side of the house. But with a little bounced flash and some creative use of their bedroom mirror as a reflector, the shots took on a lovely studio-esque quality. Doesn’t hurt that they are SUCH a beautiful family, of course! In the end I feel I captured the essence of them as a family, their closeness and their affection for each other – and that is what matters.
