You might remember Bridget from the maternity session I did with her with her horses and dogs in Scone, NSW. When her baby arrived, she asked me to come back to the country to see her darling little baby boy (who made me insanely clucky, I might add!). We talked about motherhood as I took photos of her feeding and cuddling little Robbie in bed, then I photographed her lovely family doing what they do best.

I would love to visit rural New South Wales and do some more country shooting. Horse people, dog people, cow people, wheat people – call me!

The dogs were just as enthusiastic as always but the horses were slightly more cautious about their new brother. I really love this symbol of country life, and the importance of animals being a part of the family unit, so much so that they are involved even in the family photographs. I feel that way about my own pets and hope that more clients of mine in the future are encouraged to include their beloved animals in their own family photos. Because there’s nothing that captures a real smile quite like a big ol’ lick to the face, am I right?
