Maternity session at home – Shannon

I love maternity shoots. I think they're beautiful, in every shape and form in which they come. I think pregnancy is something to celebrate. But... not every maternity photography session needs to be wearing a long drapey dress, in a field, wearing a flower crown. Not every pregnancy shoot needs to be in your underwear. (It can be, but that's entirely up to you! If anyone tries to tell you you have to strip to get good photographs of you while pregnant, leave immediately.) Not every expectant mother needs to trek to beautiful sunset location with a full face of makeup.

Unposed wedding – Eliza and Warren

I love spontaneous weddings. Eliza and Warren decided to get married while in Australia, on holiday from the UK, with a grand total of NINE WEEKS to organise an 80+ person wedding. What did they manage to pull off? Only a glorious, sunbathed, genuine, heartfelt and stunningly elegant affair. Unposed surprise wedding – Maeve and Lorenzo

Maeve and Lorenzo invited me to photograph their wonderful and unusual surprise wedding in the small town of Katoomba, in NSW's Blue Mountains. They had told all of their friends that they were meeting at Hotel Blue for themed murder mystery 40th birthday party for Lorenzo, with their guests none the wiser as to their plans. After guests drove through the thick fog and gathered in the amazing lounge for a "present reveal", Lorenzo coyly placed a flower in his buttonhole, a harpist began to play, and then out walked Maeve in an incredible floor-length gown. Wedding on the beach – Verity and Wazza

Beach. Teal dress. Celebratory piñata. Oh man. This wedding. Ooooooooh, this wedding. Verity and Chris (aka "Wazza") called me because they were looking for some simple, documentary wedding photography that didn't involve spending two hours away from their guests to take posed photographs. Family documentary shoot – Robbie on the farm

This is the third time I have photographed little Robbie and his family - I photographed his amazing mother Bridget while she was pregnant, being loved by her gorgeous horses (you can see it here), and then I photographed Robbie and his parents when he was only a few weeks old (you can see it here!). Hindu Wedding – Aneetha and David

Aneetha and David got married in a wonderful Hindu ceremony in Helensburgh, Sydney, and I must say that it was a real pleasure to witness this most symbolic and intricate of nuptials. I ended up delivering them over 700 images across 4 hours of ceremony coverage - I just didn't want to miss a moment of this ceremony, rich in the symbolism of ancient scriptures and cultural traditions.
