Tracey and Cathy wanted their wedding to be fun, filled with laughter, and totally them. They rode in victoriously in an amazing stretch Volkswagon Kombi to the Peppers Creek Chapel, in the Hunter Valley. They looked like a million bucks each in crisp white pantsuits, and Tracey rocked an amazing veiled hat. Their bridal party wore white and pink, including full white suits with tails, and carried sentimental items down the aisle. They had their couples portraits together before their ceremony, so that afterwards they could go straight to their reception at the stunning Peppers Creek Barrel Room. They completely catered their wedding day towards maximising the happiness of their guests and the natural flow of the party, and it really worked.
These gorgeous women expressed their devotion to each other so sincerely that they had everyone in the chapel dabbing their eyes. Their wedding was full of happy tears, boisterous dancing, and so many beautiful expressions of love from Tracey and Cathy’s family and friends that it was honestly a complete joy to be there for them.
And the kicker? They only had to commission me for three hours of photography coverage, because sometimes the best things in life come in small packages.
My natural, unposed style worked perfectly for Tracey and Cathy, who were full of laughter and affection, and just wanted to enjoy ten minutes of each other’s company before their wedding, and for me to capture that for them. A documentary approach and a relaxed couple really are a magical combination.
